These old 1930's Gilbert Scott K6 Telephone Kiosks can be restored & retained within our English villages as they are a very important part of our classic street furniture architectural roadside heritage. We love to site our cast metal or wooden finger post signs close to these old kiosks as they blend together so well in a rural setting
Now this is something very positive ! The population of Salton which is a beautiful North Yorkshire village in the district of Ryedale have purchased their own Gilbert Scott K6 telephone kiosk and had it fully restored at little cost as many people within the village contributed to it.
Having the village name displayed all around the box is a great idea and something that could be done in other villages where the phone box has become reduundant.
