Cast Metal Embossed Village Nameplates
Complete with Embossed Coats of Arms or any logo of your choice
They Really Are The Most Beautifully Designed & Attractive Village Cast Metal Embossed Nameplates In All Great Britain.
This type of rural village nameplate has some major advantages over the modern versions commonly cluttering up our beautiful countryside.
It lasts forever as it is cast in a military grade non corrosive alloy that is malleable but very strong with a tensile strength of 6.5 tonnes per square inch.
It is reinforced by vertical webs on the rear of the sign. The rim is raised to provide a very attractive period look together with the embossed lettering, coats of arms or logos. We have the signs sand blasted to gain an excellent key for painting. The signs are then powder coated and etched primed with a high contact cellulose primer then all the embossed detail is picked out in a black enamel gloss finish. This paint system avoids any future maintenance for decades and the signs can be cleaned up like new with just a simple wash down. We attach them with security fixings to two Galvanized 76 m/m poles which we paint black to add that period look.
The embossed features allows the sign to be seen from oblique angles. These cast nameplates are designed & made as permanent signs. If one was to be hit by a 40 tonne truck and bent, in most cases they can be straightened in the workshop or in a severe case we can melt them down into a complete replacement. So you can't get any greener than that. We honestly believe that this design is truly the answer to the long term problem. The modern style nameplates can't be repaired when damaged & because of their large surface area are always being clipped by 4x4 vehicles and hedge cutting tractors.
A traditional Cast Village Nameplate Is The Best Finishing Touch To Help Make Any Village Look A Cut Above The Rest.
Its the first thing you see when arriving & it makes a statement as to the area being well manicured & in good order. The village nameplate can be made into a great traffic calming gate feature. We can provide railway sleepers as well as giant sandstone rock boulders in order to construct attractive features around the village signs.

When I Was A BOY These Classic Embossed Sussex Village Nameplate Signs Were Kept Up To A Very High Standard.
The cast metal shield was painted bright red with a black outline & the Sussex Marlets were picked out in gold. I always thought that they were part of our Sussex
heritage & it is criminal to allow them to fall into such a state of dilapidation. Please allow us to restore these signs to their original condition. As sooner rather than later
you will see them disappear from rural Sussex & be replaced with very modern urban type signs that really do not blend into the rural nature of Sussex

Please Do What You Can To Help Save These Lovely Old Traditional Embossed Sussex Village Nameplate Signs As Their Modern Counterparts Really Do Look Very Urban & Tacky.
The modern signs also have some major
these are seriously worth considering as they are far too large in surface area resulting in them being hit by passing traffic or hedge cutting tractors, the vinyl lettering fades as well as the red Sussex crest, They can't be refurbished, so please take it from me that the modern village signs are not fit for purpose, they seriously belong in new towns like Milton Keynes but certainly not in our rural villages.
This sad looking traditional old village embossed nameplate sign could be refurbished to look as good as the day that it was made back in the 1950's. at very little cost. This would result in it providing another half century of extended life and look so much better than the tacky modern signs.
